Here at JRG Sound and Light Ltd, we know how stressful planning an event can be. That's why we aim to make hiring equipment from us as simple as possible. Below is how we do it.


Book the Equipment


To do this simply give us a call, send us an email, or just fill out our online form and we guarantee to get back to you within 48 hours. 


Collect the Equipment


Your equipment will be ready at the arranged time. On collection, you need to bring proof of identification and address.


Have your Event


Use the equipment at your event. All of the packages are simple to use and you will be shown how to use them on collection. All equipment is tested before use but if you do have any issues then do not hesitate to contact us at any point.


Return the Equipment


The Equipment is returned to us on the agreed date and time.


Delivery Service


If you are unable to collect or would like us to set up the equipment for you then we offer a delivery service in Portsmouth and surrounding areas starting from £75, this includes:


  • Delivery of the equipment on the agreed date and time

  • All Equipment set up

  • Demonstration on how to use the equipment

  • Collection of the Equipment the same day or the next working day


We also offer an engineering service for your event. Contact us today if this is something you would like to do.


How does your pricing work?

All of the prices quoted on our website are day prices, each consecutive extra day is charged as 20% of the day price. If you wish to hire for long periods then please contact us for a quote.

Can you deliver the equipment?

Yes! Have a look at our delivery service page to find out more.

Do I need to bring ID?

Yes, you need to bring two types of ID with you when collecting your equipment. A copy of your ID will be kept for the duration of your hire. Without ID the equipment may not be released and any deposits may be lost.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes, a £100 or £50 security deposit will be held for the duration of your hire and then returned once the equipment has been returned and checked.

How can I pay?

We accept BAC's or card in advance of your event.

When do I collect it?

All collections need to be made between 9 and 11 am on your day of hire unless previously discussed.

When do I return?

All returns need to be made between 9 and 11 am on the day after your hire unless previously discussed.

What happens if  I break something?

If you break any piece of equipment you may be charged for the repair or replacement of the equipment. All prices are non-negotiable. You need to inform us as soon as any breakages occur.

Where can I get the required insurance from?

If you do not have the required insurance for your event, there are many companies that can provide you with the right insurance. One of these companies is We are not involved with Events Insurance, we are just providing this link to help you out.
